I purchased my home about 4 1/2 years ago through a local mortgage company. They sold my loan to Countrywide. I HATE Countrywide. I can never talk to an actual person when I try to call them. I just want to switch to a different company. Can I do this? Any recommendations? Can I switch to a different mortgage company?
The only way you can switch your mortgage is to refinance with another mortgage lender. HOWEVER, a new company may also sell your mortgage to someone else, and that could be CountryWide. Can I switch to a different mortgage company?
pay it off and refinance.
that's all folks.
Or just make your monthly payments on time and don't call.
I haven't talked to anyone at my mortgage company in 8 years.
Sure, you can refinance with a new lender.
For what reason do you want to speak with your mortgage company for any reason?
You signed a contract to pay whomever your mortgage was sold to. Why do you hate Country wide?
All Countrywide want you to do is pay your mortgage on time, they need not speak with you for any reason.
You may not simply select the mortgage company you want to pay and pay them. They have no interest vested in your mortgage loan.
Country wide does have a vested interest in your mortgage loan, they purchased your mortgage from someone. So this is the person you have to pay or whom ever they hire to collect the mortgage for them.
Even if you refinanced your current mortgage loan, the result could be the same they can sell your mortgage to someone else and guess who might be buying loans once again. Yep Country wide.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
